The Nutrition Society of New Zealand invites authors to submit abstracts for presentations for the 2021 Conference:
"Tūhono - Reconnecting”
Abstracts are welcome in any area of nutrition and those that complement nutrition, including those that incorporate the conference themes of Te Tiriti o Waitangi & Nutrition, women's health, food systems and environments, food security, gut health and future foods.
The organisers strongly encourage participants to present their work at the meeting. Abstracts are invited for oral presentations or poster presentations. If you submit an abstract for consideration by the committee and it is accepted for presentation, you must register to attend the conference.
When submitting you should indicate:
- whether you are a student
- whether you want your work considered for poster or oral presentation
Student Travel Scholarships
Travel Scholarships are available to apply for, by for those who meet the following criteria:
- Currently a Student
- Student Member of NSNZ
- Presenting an abstract
Complete and send the application form to the email address on the form.
Head the abstract with the title; authors; and affiliations.
Each of these should be on a separate line. No abstract should exceed 300 words.
Abstracts should contain a statement of the problem, methods, clear results and conclusion or significance of the findings.
Abstracts will be reviewed and may be returned to the authors for clarification/modification if they do not meet the specified format as detailed in the below documents.

Wednesday 22nd September is the last day for abstract submission. Late abstracts will be accepted up until Friday 22nd October, but will only be eligible for poster presentation, if accepted.

If accepted, your conference abstract will be published in the journal Medical Sciences Forum.
Write a manuscript based on your conference presentation (oral or poster) and submit it for publication in our Special Edition of papers from the conference in Nutrients (impact factor 5.717), at a substantially reduced publishing fee (35% discount for Nutrition Society members).
